As a volunteer in India, you will have endless opportunities for social work and socio-geographical exploration. India is a country of staggering contrasts. On one hand there are exotic landscapes and historical sites with a history that goes back more than 5000 years, and on the other hand there are millions of people still living below the poverty-line, waiting eagerly for a helping hand. There are metropolitan cities in India that boast of pubs, bars and restaurants that can compete with the best in the world, and there are villages that have never witnessed an electric bulb.

India is one of the few countries in the world that enjoys all sorts of ecological variations from deserts to rain forests, from lush green planes to sky-high mountains, and from historical rivers to world-famous sea coasts. With one of the most ancient cultures in the world, India can be a never ending cornucopia of adventure, revelation and spiritual gratification.
