We’ve discovered that when you’re given the opportunity to learn about the local culture and customs, and understand community development, your volunteer experience is truly fulfilling. To gain this inside perspective, we provide cross-cultural training so you can be prepared for your volunteer experiences. You’ll enjoy a detailed orientation, basic language instruction, guest speakers, participation in local activities, and debriefing sessions. Together, these activities will ensure your time in India is an enriching experience.
As a volunteer in India, you can contribute in any of the following capacities:
  • An educator
  • A community coordinator
  • A healthcare services consultant / practitioner
  • An awareness activist
  • A child specialist
  • A self-employment consultant
  • A carer for disabled & orphaned children
  • An environmentalist
  • Primary Schools: Volunteers assist teachers with educational and recreational activities.
  • Community Centers: Volunteers work with adult patients seeking treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. The centers may also run outpatient therapy and tutoring for children in the community.
  • Special Needs Schools: Volunteers assist teachers in caring for children with disabilities, helping with physical therapy, and giving much-needed care and individual attention.
  • Children’s Daycare Center: Volunteers help teach games and basic English to children.
